So, the whirlwind of internet gaming rage is now directed away from eye watering DLC pricing and the death of dedicated servers, and back towards DRM, for the time being at least. In particular, the authentification system which Ubisoft has kindly grafted onto the side of the PC version of Assassins Creed 2. And since every other meatbag who fancies himself a pundit has commented on it, I feel like I ought to. Partly because it interests me, partly because I enjoy voicing my opinion even if nobody listens, and partly because it makes the site seem like it's in the loop.

That's a pretty sanitised depiction of a Velociraptr if you ask me.
Still, it's nice that it tracks not just PC gameplay, but also 360, Xbox Live Arcade and even some flash gaming. It was during this discovery that I remembered a game that I was particularly fond of: Amorphous+. I looked at the entry on the site, and was shocked that no one had reviewed it yet...

Last week, I played Forza 3 for the first time since receiving it for Christmas. Exams and revision are partly to blame, but it's also because I've been enjoying the stellar Colin McRae: Dirt 2 so much, that I haven't been too motivated to start a career on another racer.
Nevertheless I enjoyed the second one, so I figured I'd enjoy this one as well. I popped it in, and indeed found it to be an enjoyable experience. Not quite as good as Dirt 2 granted, both the driving and the UI are a little too sedate in comparison, however I have found a new passion which has tickled the artist in me: photography and filming.
